I got home from work late one night and Bailey and I went right to bed. I had to be up early the next morning for work so we went to bed around 11:00. An hour later I woke up to Bailey growling. I rolled over and she was sitting on the edge of the bed growling at the bedroom door. It freaked me out because Bailey has never growed a day in her life. I let her outside of the bedroom and she ran straight to the front door and kept growling. I couldn't see anything outside the windows but she wouldn't quit. I held her and sat with her on the bed. She was shaking... I think I was shaking too. I was getting pretty scared! I called Eric at work and he told me it was probably just an animal, but I knew that even if it was there was no way I was going to be able to sleep alone in our apartment that night. I shouldn't have been so scared. I knew the people who live upstairs were always home but I didn't feel safe or comforted by that at the time. So Eric stayed on the phone with me while I got some things together and took Bailey out to the car. We stayed the night at the Merrill's. I think Bailey saved me from being murdered in my bed that night! ;)
"Don't worry, Mommy! I'll protect you with Beagle Braveness! Bailey to the rescue!" :D
